July 30, 2007 (Press Release) --
Vashti Horvat (pronounced: Vash-ti ORvat) is an Audit/Compliance professional and American-born businesswoman. Vashti and her family are supporters of several libraries in the USA and UK. At an early age, she was curious about the world, and always craved more knowledge. Vashti has traveled extensively and realized that no matter where her journey took her, she found comfort in knowing that there was a public library. Vashti explains: “You can tell a lot about a location just by walking into their public library and searching the catalog of books.” The family also supports other organizations such as: Houston Zoo Paver Program, Trees for Life, National Women's History Museum (NWHM), Jewish National Fund - Trees for Israel and many more…
She started her career in the field of Computer Science and eventually, she plans to turn to the field of jewelry design (her hobby), which is a passion she hopes to one day share with her daughter. She sometimes models jewelry for a boutique in Houston Texas.
When you meet Vashti, the first word that comes to mind is ‘Lady,’ which she is called by her friends in the UK. And, as a result you may run across an ezine or two with her signature closing of LHV. Or, if you are one of her very close friends, you may receive correspondence on her custom designed stationary. She loves snail mail – it is much more personal than e-mail.

The official website (www.vashtihorvat.com) is currently in the design phase and will be launching in late 2008. The focus will be on the organizations that she and her family supports.
